Inefficiency of current Penn Station operations
BC&S has worked for a number of transit and development non-profits and organizations on major public outreach projects. BC&S was the lead author of a 100-page study that recommended a comprehensive, $30+ billion overhaul of the New York City metropolitan area’s regional rail network and has led public outreach efforts on the proposal to Federal and State stakeholders. The report generated significant media attention, including coverage in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, New York Daily News, City and State NY, NBC 4, CBS 2, NY1, NJ.com, as well as the 2017 Award for Best of Design from Architects Newspaper.
As part of that ongoing effort, BC&S is assisting the client with the development of complementary proposals to its initial report. In addition, BC&S is advising the client on non-profit development strategy.
Previously, BC&S Managing Partner Barry Caro worked on a number of development projects, including a fully affordable transit-oriented housing development in Mount Vernon, NY.
